Disaster Preparedness

We've had a series of earthquakes here in LA recently, and if one needs a reminder to get their emergency supplies in order (I did!) there really is no better jolt than a midnight tremor that wakes you from sleep (and prevents you from more sleep). I have had a pile of disaster preparedness papers on my desk for ages, but this morning I finally did something about it. Here is my own personal disaster preparedness checklist that I just laminated and posted in my house. It is two pages long, so the sheets can sit back-to-back. And there are a couple of great online resources noted at the bottom of the second page. Don't forget to check your supplies every 6 months or so. Now get up and start organizing yourself!
